Job summary

Morgan Ryder is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to work on high‑value 5‑axis CNC tools at our Preston site. You will perform planned maintenance, service and repair 5‑axis machines, and diagnose PLC/controls issues to keep equipment running at peak performance.

The ideal candidate is time‑served or has relevant engineering qualifications, with proven experience on Siemens 840D controls and strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Time-served engineer or relevant engineering qualifications.
• Proven experience troubleshooting 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with Siemens 840D CNC control systems.

Responsibilities

• Delivering all planned preventative maintenance tasks.
• Installing, servicing, and repairing 5-axis machine tools.
• Fault-finding and diagnosing issues on CNC milling machines, delivering effective corrective solutions.
• Working autonomously while communicating effectively with the wider team.
