4 day week Nanny required in Pangbourne Berkshire

This family in Pangbourne, Berkshire are looking for a Nanny for 4 days a week Tuesday‑Friday to help support them and run their busy home. They have three delightful children, an 8‑year‑old, a 5‑year‑old, and a 10‑month‑old baby. In the main, childcare will be for the 10‑month‑old, but the role will at times involve childcare of the older children too. The right person for this family would be energetic, positive, upbeat, proactive, flexible and fun.

Responsibilities

• Plan baby‑appropriate activities, such as baby classes, swimming, playground visits, arts and crafts, drawing, play in the garden, play dates, and activities to aid development and fine‑motor skills at home.
• Prepare and cook nutritious and varied meals throughout the day, and tea for the older children.
• Introduce baby to new foods.
• Help get the older children ready for school.
• Keep parents updated with items that are running low – wipes, nappies.
• Keep all children’s bedrooms and clothes organised.
• Keep playroom tidy and organised.
• Drop off/collect older children from school if parents can’t (most of the time parents will do this).
• Bath baby or help older children with baths/showers and getting ready for bed.
• Occasional babysitting/overnight stay.
• Light housekeeping duties, such as all family laundry, batch cooking, emptying the dishwasher, etc. (the family also have a cleaner).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum experience: 2+ years working with children of the same age.
• Childcare qualifications essential.
• Driver’s licence required; a car can be provided whilst on duty.
• Up to date DBS on the update service.
• 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
• Minimum of 2 professional referees, one of which must be your current or last employer and must be immediately contactable.

Schedule & Pay

• Tuesday: 0700‑1900
• Wednesday: 1200‑1700
• Thursday: 0700‑1900
• Friday: 0700‑1700

Job start date: ASAP. Pay: £18‑£20 gross per hour depending on experience.
