Saga Cruises is seeking two experienced 3rd Engineers to join the vessels SPIRIT OF ADVENDURE and SPIRIT OF DISCOVERY on a 3 months on/off rotation. Embarkation is scheduled for 10 October 2026. Candidates must hold STCW95 and CoC A-III/1, with extensive engine room experience on passenger ships.

We are currently seeking two experienced 3rd Engineers to join Saga Cruises - cruise vessel SPIRIT OF ADVENDURE and cruise vessel SPIRIT OF DISCOVERY with embarkation scheduled for the 10/ October 2026.
The positions offer a rotational contract of 3 months on/off. Candidates must have relevant experience in rank, hold all valid STCW certification, and be able to provide strong references/recommendations.
Excellent fluent English (verbal, written and technical). English is the working and safety language on board. This also includes the ability to give and receive instructions in verbal and written forms and to effectively and efficiently engage with guests and crew members. Additional languages are considered beneficial.
Good working knowledge of AMOS and Microsoft applications.
Required to stand, walk long distances, reaching and sitting. Repetitive motion of bending, going up and down stairs, climbing ladders. Lifting or pushing of up to 50lbs. The position requires overtime work and irregular schedules. Works in the Engine Control Room, Engine spaces with noise, light traffic, distracting environments.

Assist all EOOW with Technical Department Responsibility - Engine Room Watchkeeping
The keeping of Engine Room watches as required and identified by the Chief Engineer in accordance with the Safety Management Manual and FOM 1 - Marine Operations. The composition of the watches is to be adequate and appropriate to the plant and machinery involved. For normal operating conditions the composition of the watches (at minimum) will be identified by the Chief Engineer. The Chief Engineer is responsible for the watch composition in conditions other than normal as identified by the Master e.g. restricted visibility, ice zone, high traffic density, manoeuvring, etc. In ships with Unattended Machinery Spaces Certificate, adequate personnel shall always attend the Engine Control Room.

Assist Senior 2nd Engineer 4-8 with;
Or, Assist Senior 2nd Engineer 12-4 with;
Or, Assist Senior 2nd Engineer 8-12 with;
