Job summary

Carmichael UK is seeking an experienced 360 Excavator Operator (Tracked) to support water infrastructure projects across the Swindon area. You will operate tracked excavators, perform earthworks, and work with site teams to keep projects on schedule.

The role requires travel between sites, a valid CPCS/NPORS Card, a Full UK Driving Licence, and a solid focus on safety and efficiency. Competitive hourly PAYE rate and benefits are on offer.

Qualifications

• CPCS or NPORS Card (with CSCS Logo).
• Proven experience operating tracked 360 excavators on civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of safe excavation practices.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to travel between sites across the Swindon region.

Responsibilities

• Operate tracked 360 excavators safely and efficiently.
• Carry out excavation works for water and utility infrastructure projects.
• Support trenching, pipe laying, drainage, and reinstatement activities.
• Work closely with Groundworkers, Supervisors, and Site Management teams.
• Conduct daily machine checks and report any defects.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Assist with general site duties where required.
• Maintain high standards of productivity, quality, and site housekeeping.
