Towing Driver - Huntingdon

Location: Huntingdon

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Type: Full-time, Permanent / Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Venatu Automotive are proud to be supporting our client, a leading name in the vehicle and equipment hire industry, in recruiting an experienced Towing Driver to join their busy depot in Huntingdon.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and safety-focused driver who takes pride in their work and enjoys delivering great customer service.

The Role

As a Towing Driver, you'll be responsible for the safe delivery, collection, and handover of hire equipment to and from customer sites. You'll ensure all equipment is handled with care, inspected accurately, and presented to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely load, transport, and deliver hire equipment across customer sites.
  • Carry out handovers, demonstrating equipment where required.
  • Inspect equipment for any damages or shortages upon collection.
  • Record findings accurately using company tablets, including photos and customer signatures.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure maintenance schedules are followed.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies, ensuring loads are secured correctly.
  • Support the depot team and assist with additional duties as required.
About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be:

  • A confident and experienced driver with towing experience.
  • In possession of a full, valid UK driving licence and digital tachograph card.
  • Professional and customer-focused, with great communication skills.
  • Safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable
  • Previous experience within a hire, transport, or logistics environment.
  • Knowledge of transport and H&S regulations.
