Job summary

Booker is recruiting for a delivery driver in Edinburgh. You will drive locally, load and unload goods, and build relationships with regular customers to ensure timely deliveries and a high standard of service.

The role operates on an Any 5 from 7 contract with weekend work; a strong focus on customer interaction and accuracy in paperwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Cat B / 3.5T Licence required.
• Two years driving experience preferred.
• Previous delivery driving experience is advantageous.
• Good interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good literacy and numeracy levels.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

• Cat B / 3.5T Licence
• Previous experience of driving (at least two years)
• Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude
• Good level of literacy and numeracy
