Speech & Language Therapist – Band 7 (Wolverhampton, West Midlands)

Job Description

We are seeking 2 experienced Speech and Language Therapists (Band 7) to join a supportive and innovative children’s SLT service in Wolverhampton. This short-term, funded role will help reduce waiting lists, working across clinics, pre-schools, and mainstream schools. You will support children and young people with complex communication needs, including autism, ADHD, SLCN, and associated social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

Main Duties
  • Conduct detailed speech and language assessments.
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Support and train education and care staff to implement communication strategies.
  • Contribute to MDT meetings, goal-setting, and caseload management.
  • Provide clinical advice to families and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and reports.
Requirements
  • Degree in Speech & Language Therapy.
  • HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.
  • Paediatric experience in community, mainstream, or pre-school; NHS experience desirable.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Enhanced DBS (can be arranged if not current).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
