Job summary

Greencore Group is hiring a driver for a Glasgow-based role with a 2pm start and 4 on/4 off pattern. The position includes a £16.35 per hour base rate plus £1.15 night-time uplift.

You will deliver goods across routes, maintain customer relations, and ensure compliance with hours, safety and CPC requirements. Ideal candidates hold a full UK driving license with up to 6 points, an in-date CPC, and at least six months in a similar environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience in a similar role.
• Full UK driving license held for at least six months with max 6 points.
• In-date CPC Card for all Class 2 drivers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods safely and on time.
• Liaise with delivery points directly.
• Present a professional branded image to customers.
• Maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders.
• Obtain signed or electronic POD documents.
• Handle transport administration at start/end and during shifts.
• Drive in a fuel-efficient and safe manner.
• Comply with EU Driver Hours and RTD Regulations.
• Ensure correct temperature for goods.
• Follow safe systems of work for equipment.
• Complete pre- and post-vehicle checks and report defects.
• No unspent endorsements beyond 6 points (e.g., speeding/parking).
• Be CPC compliant.
• No convictions for dangerous driving or DUI in last 5 years.
• Understand EC Directives 561/2006 and 3821/85.
• Knowledge of UK Highway Code and road signs.
• Awareness of bridge height signage and restricted zones.
• Minimum 6 months in similar environment.
