A technology services provider in Winchester is seeking an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to ensure smooth operation of supply chain processes. Candidates will manage incoming technical support requests, provide excellent customer service, and work closely with skilled colleagues. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of residency in the UK. Shift patterns will be 4 days on and 4 days off.

DURATION: 12 MONTH INITIAL CONTRACT

Please note this role requires candidates to work on shift patterns, 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am. The roles will be 4 days on, and 4 days off.

Role Description

The Duty Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chain processes. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle various tasks related to inventory management, equipment maintenance, and quality control. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of supply chain principles.

Required Skills
  • To handle incoming technical support incidents, requests and changes.
  • Management of personal call queue, ensuring calls are closed in a timely fashion.
  • Provide updates and ensure ongoing customer communication is maintained.
  • Resolution of calls ranging from simple password resets to complex server queries.
  • Escalation of calls to 3rd Line Team as necessary.
  • To work as part of a close-knit and highly skilled team of Engineers.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Work with other internal teams (3rd Line Technical Delivery Teams, Development, Projects, etc.)
  • Perform software builds/re-builds on PCs and laptops as required.
  • Fix hardware faults and install upgrades to client hardware.
Candidate Requirements
