Job description

We're working with an exciting MSP looking for 2nd Line Network engineer, working within a national team for an award winning Cisco / Fortinet Partner.

You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, tracking, and reporting incidents. As part of your role, you will provide critical support to a medium-large customer base over a wide product portfolio. You will support WAN/LAN Networks and Security products, ensuring timely resolutions.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to Customer Incidents by performing 2nd Line Network and Security support diagnostics to resolve faults and/or implement workaround solutions that meet SLA standards and customer needs, with occasional 1st Line support co-ordination duties.
  • Liaise with customers during escalations at a 2nd line network technical level, as part of escalation and resolution of incidents.
  • Maintain and develop technical competence with key vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto etc., seeking and applying relevant training opportunities and best practice.
  • Raise, progress and monitor all escalations both internally and externally, ensuring satisfactory conclusions and timely updates to stakeholders, facilitating seamless handover at key stages of progression.
