Overview

A leading Managed Service Provider in Mid Ulster is seeking a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their expanding technical team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality IT support and project delivery across Microsoft 365, networking, servers, and security environments. This role is ideal for someone confident engaging with clients face-to-face, technically curious, and looking for a business that invests heavily in professional development and certifications.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 2nd line IT support to clients remotely and onsite across Mid Ulster and NI.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage and support Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments.
  • Support firewall and networking configurations using Fortinet/FortiGate and Dell technologies (training provided).
  • Maintain accurate documentation using internal PSA and IT management systems.
  • Contribute to virtualised infrastructure (VMware / Hyper-V).
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience through professional communication and proactive support.
Required Experience & Skills

Strong experience in IT Support (2nd line or strong 1st/2nd hybrid). Confident supporting Microsoft 365 environments. Solid networking knowledge - DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPNs, etc. Excellent communication and client-facing skills. Must hold a full UK driving licence and own transport.

Desirable
  • Experience with Dell infrastructure, Fortinet/FortiGate, VMware / Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Acronis Cyber Protect, ConnectWise, Halo PSA, IT Glue, or NinjaOne.
  • MSP or customer-facing IT background preferred.
