Paradigm Employment Services in Kings Lynn is seeking a 2nd Line IT Engineer to join a national IT support company. You will provide mentoring, remote and on-site support, and contribute to documentation and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience and ability to build relationships.
• Clear, concise communication to all levels of users.
• Knowledge of helpdesk/PSA/RMM systems and adaptability to new software.
• Strong understanding of Windows 10/Windows Server and Office 365.
• Good working knowledge of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, DHCP).

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support other team members.
• Provide remote support via email and phone to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
• On-site installation and support of hardware and software.
• Specify, configure, and implement equipment and supporting software per client needs.
• Contribute to standard configurations, documentation, and procedures.
• Build and maintain client relationships.
• Implement technical solutions for client and internal projects.
• Monitor client infrastructure remotely via RMM system.

2nd Line IT Engineer

Main Responsibilities for the successful 2nd Line IT Engineer:

• To provide mentoring and support to other members of the team.
• To provide remote technical support via email and telephone to end users so that operational problems and queries are diagnosed and resolved as quickly as possible.
• On-site support and installation of hardware and software.
• To specify, recommend, provide, configure, and implement many varied items of equipment i.e., desktops, servers, printers etc. and supporting software in accordance with client requirements.
• To contribute to the production of standard configurations, documentation, and procedures in order to streamline processes and produce efficiencies within the company.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients.
• To implement technical solutions for client and internal projects.
• Remote monitoring client infrastructure though our RRM system

About the successful 2nd Line IT Engineer:

• Experience of customer service, building and maintaining customer relationships.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels.
• Knowledge of helpdesk/PSA/RMM systems and an ability to adapt to new software/programs.
• A strong understanding and experience of the Microsoft desktop and server stack including Windows 10, Windows Server, Office 365 and Microsoft Azure.
• A good broad knowledge of networking technologies and concepts such as LAN/WAN, DHCP etc.
