2D CAD Technician

Location: Rotherham

Hours: Full-Time | 37.5 hours | Flexible Hours (Core hours: 9am-4pm)

Pay rate: £30,000 to £36,000 + Bonus + Overtime + 25 Days Holiday + Pension

Travis Talent is delighted to be working exclusively with a leading laser cutting company in Rotherham to recruit a 2D CAD Technician to join their close-knit CAD team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a well-invested, forward-thinking business operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You'll play a pivotal role in the smooth running of production by preparing accurate, machine-ready drawings using 2D CAD software.

Please note: this is not a design role – it's all about production. Your main focus will be interpreting customer specifications and producing precise digital drawings to ensure timely and quality output.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Creating and modifying technical drawings using 2D CAD
  • Programming and preparing files for laser and profiling equipment
  • Translating technical specifications into production-ready formats
  • Supporting the production team with drawings and programming support to ensure workflow continuity
  • Managing raw material stock levels and contributing to efficient operations
  • Working collaboratively within a friendly and supportive team environment
