Job summary

Drake Primary Academy in Plymouth is seeking a Breakfast Club Assistant to join our team from November 2026. The role involves supervising a breakfast club for primary children before school, as part of a friendly, supportive team.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, reliable and experienced in school settings, with Level 2 Food Safety and Paediatric First Aid. There is a pro rata salary and term-time only schedule.

About this Role

Drake Primary Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Breakfast Club Assistant to join the School from November 2026.

Post: Breakfast Club Assistant

Location: Drake Primary Academy, Plymouth, PL2 2EN

FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade A, £25,614 per annum, pro rata

Actual Annual Salary: £3,850.39

Contract Type: Permanent Part-time, term-time only (39 weeks per year, term time only)

Contract Hours: 6 1/4 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:15 am - 8:30 am

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Breakfast Club Assistant who is enthusiastic, motivated and committed to join our school. The ideal candidate will be hard working, friendly and outgoing and have relevant experience of working in a school setting. They will have a passion for supporting young children’s learning and development and enjoy working as part of a team. The role will involve a working with a mixture of primary age children. We are looking for candidates that are friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated to working with children.
