We're looking for a dedicated Support Assistant to join our Peripatetic Service at Sherwood Court, Wakefield. This vital service operates 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, delivering high-quality care to people in their own homes.

About the Role

The post is for 24.50 hours per week.

You’ll work on a 2‑week rolling rota, including:

  • Evening shifts: 15:00 – 23:00
  • Weekends and bank holidays (enhanced pay rates apply)

Salary 25,583 – 25,989 (FTE).

Your role will include:
  • Supporting individuals to remain in their own homes
  • Promoting independence and person‑centred care e.g., washing, dressing, bathing, toileting, meals and medication
  • Working collaboratively with professionals and agencies
  • Treating every person with dignity and respect

  • Essential:
    • GCSE Grades D‑G in Math and English or Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English
  • Desirable (but not required):
    • Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)

Don’t have the Level 2 qualification? No problem! We’ll provide full training and fund your qualification after successful completion of your probation period.
