This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. Position Overview

Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility (CRF) is seeking to recruit a Lead Research Nurse in the Phase I/Education team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Nurse with extensive clinical and research experience to join our Phase I/Education team and deliver clinical research to MHRA Phase I Accreditation Scheme standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • The post holder will have direct oversight of Phase I clinical trials and have responsibility for the Phase I education needs of the nursing and clinical teams across the Edinburgh CRF.
  • You should have a strong clinical research background including conducting and managing Phase I trials, experience of teaching and mentorship, people and resource management within a clinical research environment, and a working knowledge of Research Governance and regulatory inspection including an understanding of MHRA Phase I Accreditation.

Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility has a national and international reputation for clinical research excellence. It is located within purpose built adult and paediatric clinical facilities at three hospital sites in Edinburgh and plays a major role in the provision of the clinical science infrastructure for NHS Lothian and the University of Edinburgh. As such the post-holder will be expected to move between clinical sites as service needs dictate on a regular basis.
