Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (Band 6) to join the Stewartry Community Mental Health Nursing Team on a fixed term of 9 months.

This post involves working with people who present with moderate to severe mental health issues. The successful candidate will provide assessment, support, advice and interventions to support recovery and work towards sustained wellbeing and self management.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessment and interventions for people with moderate to severe mental health issues.
  • Support people to recover and work towards sustained wellbeing and self management.
  • Work closely with patients, carers and link in with colleagues across the health and social care partnership and third and independent sector.
  • Develop strong therapeutic working relationships, exhibit excellent communication skills and compassion.
  • Make effective clinical decisions in often pressured situations and demonstrate leadership qualities.
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Mental Health Nurse Qualification and NMC pin.
  • Experience working with people with a mental health disorder.
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to make effective clinical decisions.
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge necessary to effectively work within a clinical team.
