A leading healthcare provider in Edinburgh is looking for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join their compassionate team at the Marie Curie Hospice. You will provide high-quality, personalized care for patients, supporting them and their families in palliative care. This role requires a registered nurse with experience in palliative care and excellent communication skills. The position offers a permanent contract, part-time hours, and a competitive salary range of approximately £31,892 to £39,735 per year.
We are currently recruiting multiple Band 5 Registered Nurses to join our compassionate and skilled team at the Edinburgh Marie Curie Hospice In-Patient Unit. This is a unique opportunity to make a profound impact in palliative care, supporting patients and their families during some of life’s most important moments.
As part of our nursing team, you’ll begin your day with a structured handover from the night shift before being allocated a maximum of four patients, allowing you to deliver truly personalised care. Your role will include morning rounds, liaising with doctors, preparing syringe drivers, administering pain management, and attending multidisciplinary team meetings. You’ll also manage admissions and discharges and provide sensitive, empathetic support to families during times of change.
You’ll be central to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualised care plans, working collaboratively with patients, families, and the wider clinical team to uphold the highest standards of care. If you’re passionate about delivering holistic, dignified care in a supportive and professional environment, we’d love to welcome you to our team.
