You will lead planning and implementation of key objectives, collaborating with Public Health Consultants and GP Leads. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NHS Lothian’s Public Health Department as an Assistant Programme Manager to work with our Helathcare Public Health team.
We are seeking a dynamic individual who is committed to the concepts of Healthcare Public Health. The post holder will lead and support the planning, management, and implementation of key Healthcare Public Health programme objectives. The successful candidate will work alongside Public Health Consultants, GP Leads and other key stakeholders across NHS Lothian i.e. Clinical leads.
This post is based in the Healthcare Public Health Division of NHS Lothian’s Directorate of Public Health and Health Policy. The directorate aims to improve and protect the health of people in Lothian as part of a whole system approach to public health in Scotland
We are seeking applicants with an understanding of health inequalities and health prevention strategies. Experience of project planning, management and implementation is sought, in addition to well-developed partnership working and negotiation skills. Applicants should be educated to degree level in a public health related subject.
