Job summary

A healthcare provider in Edinburgh is seeking a Specialist Clinical Technologist to provide technical support for medical devices. The ideal candidate will have SCQF level 9 in an electrical/electronic discipline and experience with anaesthesia equipment is a plus. Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a position within the Medical Equipment Management Service at the Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh, to support the delivery of a medical equipment management service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support as part of a team carrying out service and repair work on a wide range of medical devices.
  • Ensure the day‑to‑day running of the service, working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Travel to various hospitals and clinics in Lothian as required.
  • Support the delivery of world‑class healthcare across four acute hospital sites and within the local healthcare community.
Qualifications
  • SCQF level 9 in an electrical/electronic discipline, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Experience with anaesthesia and ventilation equipment is an advantage.
  • PVG Scheme membership for the relevant regulatory group.
  • Self‑motivated, enthusiastic, conscientious and technically capable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible, methodical approach to tasks.
