A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Registered Nurse for NHS Lanarkshire. In this role, you will assess care needs, develop and implement care programs, and supervise staff to ensure high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, teamwork abilities, and a valid NMC Registration. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will have responsibility for the assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.
The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision. The post holder may be required to demonstrate procedures to and supervise registered and/or unregistered staff, as well as student nurses.
Additional required after 2 years Post registration
The post holder will direct, coordinate and supervise, where appropriate, the work of other staff within the ward or department to promote best practice in relation to patient care.
In the absence of the senior charge nurse/team leader, or deputy, the post holder will also provide cover to ensure effective operation of the ward and department

From 1 April 2024, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland will be reduced. Full‑time hours will reduce from 37.5 to 37 hours (pro rata for part‑time staff) without loss of earnings.
NHS Lanarkshire will implement this change but it may not be possible to fully transition from 1 April and there may therefore be some areas of the organisation where implementation may take longer. If the department is currently unable to safely accommodate the reduced hours from 1st April, you may be required to work 37.5 hours per week until the department can meet the requirements without impacting patient safety - you will, of course, be remunerated accordingly. NHS Lanarkshire is committed to full implementation of the 37 hour working week across all areas as soon as it is safe to do so.
