Business Context

The London Corporate Banking Relationship Coverage team is an integral part of TD Securities, focused on delivering the Bank's wholesale products and services to our European client base. Our client base is predominantly investment-grade European multinational corporations with significant links to North America, broadly split between the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe.

The Corporate Banking Relationship Coverage team centrally manages the client relationship end-to-end, catering to the client's needs and centrally coordinating across product teams to deliver TD's full suite of services with a focus on lending, multi-currency Debt Capital Markets, Rates and FX solutions, commodity hedging, trade finance, securitization, and cash management.

Position Overview

As a Corporate Banking Summer Analyst, you will be exposed to a wide variety of clients, sectors, financial services, and products, and work with various integrated teams that will provide you with the necessary skills to develop, grow, and thrive in Investment Banking. The internship will begin with one week of formal training for all London TD summer analysts that include orientation and interactive technical training. This training is designed to teach you the building blocks of financial institutions, Excel, and PowerPoint, which will prepare you for the next nine weeks of the internship. Summer Analysts will have the opportunity to engage with bankers at all levels across all teams and participate in social networking events with one another as well as colleagues across all divisions on an ongoing basis to experience our culture and integrate with our Firm.

• Collaborate closely with professionals across various sectors, gaining exposure to the strategies, products, and services that drive our business.
• Be exposed to client requests, analyze market trends, and contribute to key strategic initiatives that will help shape the future of TD's Corporate Banking division.
• Work at the intersection of several key functions, including relationship management, credit risk, and financial analysis.

Who We Are Looking For

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Interest in studying towards CFA, ACT, or an accounting designation is considered an asset.
• A genuine interest in corporate finance and the sectors TD covers
• Understanding of credit and wholesale banking products.
• Results-driven, proven academic excellence, and strong interpersonal skills
• Proactive and highly motivated.
• Strong planning, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong business and financial analytical skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

• Previous work experience in corporate finance or investment banking is considered an asset
• Demonstrated leadership (e.g., sports, clubs, extracurricular activities, philanthropy, etc.)

• Contract Type: Full-time, 10-week summer internship
• Anticipated Dates: 21st June 2027 – 27th August 2027
• Location: The role will be based at 60 Threadneedle Street
• Candidates must have an unrestricted right to work in the UK throughout the entire duration of the summer internship.
