Job summary

Isio is recruiting for a graduate role in pensions consulting in the Birmingham area. You will start with structured learning, practical client work and support from a buddy and Performance Manager as you build pensions knowledge and consulting skills.

You will gain access to qualifications with PMI and participate in an induction programme with training and on‑the‑job experience, developing skills in governance, meetings and client delivery.

Pensions Consulting

Join our Pensions Consulting team in Birmingham and help pension scheme trustees and employers run their schemes effectively. You will support clients with governance, meetings, communications, budgets and changes that affect their schemes and members.

You will work with colleagues and clients from the start, building your knowledge of pension schemes while developing strong consulting, organisation and communication skills. You will be employed on a permanent basis, and your responsibilities will grow as your skills and confidence develop.

What does the role entail?

Help prepare trustee meeting agendas and coordinate meeting papers
Prepare governance materials, including risk logs, training logs and scheme returns
Attend client meetings and draft clear meeting minutes
Track actions and help ensure they are completed by agreed deadlines
Support employee communications, including newsletters
Help clients understand and respond to governance changes affecting their pension schemes
Review processes and contribute ideas for improving client delivery
Support annual budget planning and monitor adviser costs
Contribute to proposals for new business opportunities
Coordinate with colleagues and other advisers to deliver agreed client outcomes

Previous pensions or consulting experience is not required.

Training and development

You will receive structured learning, practical experience and support from your team.

You will develop technical, business and professional skills through on-the-job learning, formal training and hands‑on client work.

Length of programme

You will be employed on a permanent basis from the start of your graduate role.

Location and working pattern

This role is based in our Birmingham office.

Expected office attendance, including the first few months is four days per week minimum in office and then two/three days a week in the office moving forwards.

The working pattern will reflect client, team and learning needs. Reasonable adjustments will be considered where appropriate.

Entry requirements

You must have completed an undergraduate degree or higher-level qualification by 20 September 2027 and achieved a 2.1 or higher. If you are in your final year, you should be on track to achieve this
