Job summary

Worley is launching a 2027 UK Graduate Commercial position, with opportunities across London, Manchester, Stockton, Glasgow and Aberdeen. You will join a two-year graduate programme designed to build skills in contract management, commercial strategy, project performance and risk management.

You’ll be mentored, trained and exposed to multidisciplinary teams on UK and international projects, with a flexible hybrid work model and strong progression prospects in a global engineering group.

Qualifications

• Final year of accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree or recent graduate.
• Achieved or working towards a minimum 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent).
• Degrees in related disciplines are preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Must have full right to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial managers in the preparation and submission of commercially sound proposals.
• Assist with management of the prime contract across a diverse portfolio of customers and projects.
• Help with project forecasting, reporting, risk and opportunity management.
• Contribute to contract reviews and develop mitigation strategies for contractual risks.
• Collaborate with project, engineering, procurement and finance teams to deliver outcomes per the prime contract.
• Develop understanding of commercial strategy, governance, compliance and project controls.
• Build stakeholder management and negotiation skills through exposure to clients and project teams.
• Develop business acumen and pricing build-up under different contractual models.

We are seeking a talented Commercial Graduate to join our UK team, with opportunities across our offices in London, Manchester, Stockton, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

From Carbon Capture, Green Hydrogen and Sustainable Aviation Fuel projects to major data centres, pipelines and traditional energy developments, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to projects that are shaping the future of our industry.Working alongside experienced commercial and project professionals, you will gain hands‑on exposure to contract management, commercial strategy, project performance and risk management, building a strong foundation for a successful career in commercial management.

As part of our two-year graduate programme, you will receive structured training, mentoring and development opportunities while gaining experience across multidisciplinary teams and a diverse portfolio of UK and international projects. Graduates will be appointed to a UK office location but should be prepared to be geographically mobile during the programme, with opportunities to work across our UK offices, project sites and, where available, international assignments.

You’ll be:

• Supporting commercial managers in the preparation and submission of commercially sound and robust proposals, addressing the customer requirements.
• Working with commercial managers in the management of the prime contract with a diverse portfolio of customers and projects.
• Assisting with project forecasting and reporting, risk and opportunity management, and performance analysis.
• Contributing to contract reviews, identifying contractual risks and developing the required mitigation strategies.
• Working closely with project, engineering, procurement and finance teams to help deliver successful project outcomes, in compliance with the prime contract.
• Developing an understanding of commercial strategy, governance, compliance and project controls within a global organization.
• Building strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills through exposure to clients, partners and project teams.
• Developing your business acumen, understanding the cost basis and pricing build-up under different forms of contractual and commercial models.

You’ll have:

• You will be in your final year of study of an accredited bachelor's or master's degree, or have graduated within the past two years.
• Applicants must have achieved, or be working towards achieving, a minimum 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent qualification).
• Degrees in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Law, Construction Management, Project Management or related disciplines are preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in commercial decision-making.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Must have full right to live and work in the UK.
