Job summary

Selby Jennings partners with a world-leading hedge fund to hire a Software Engineer who will design and scale platforms supporting the full trade lifecycle across asset classes and markets.

You’ll work on trade matching, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation, evolving the post-trade ecosystem with data platforms and analytics, alongside exceptional engineers in London and New York.

Qualifications

• Experience building distributed, scalable systems at scale.
• Strong knowledge of Java or Python and modern engineering practices.
• Experience with data-intensive applications and analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing mission-critical software powering the end-to-end trade lifecycle.
• Building scalable post-trade platforms covering clearing, settlement, and reconciliation.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience developing complex, data-intensive applications and business-critical platforms
• Strong problem-solving ability with a passion for tackling large-scale technical challenges
• Interest in analytics, data platforms, machine learning or AI technologies
• Financial markets, trading technology or post-trade experience is advantageous, but not essential
