Job summary

L’Oréal, a global beauty leader, is seeking a Demand Planning Lead in the UK to drive forecasting accuracy and ensure product availability across brands.

You will partner with Brand Teams and Mancom to align forecasts with trends, build robust plans using Excel, SAP and FuturMaster, and present monthly updates to senior management, while mentoring supply teams and driving KPI improvements.

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in product planning; demand planning experience is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of building blocks and trends that influence sales forecasts.
  • Able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels and simplify complex messages.
  • Coordinate planning topics with Mancom and brand teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills; FuturMaster and SAP are an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales forecast process for brands, building consensus between forecasts, finance trends and history.
  • Present monthly sales forecasts to senior management, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Manage monthly/weekly communication with S&OP and UK supply planning teams, outlining forecast changes.
  • Drive improvements in forecast practices and KPI initiatives.
  • Oversee catalog management and contribute to its optimization.
  • Support Supply Planner with mentoring to improve efficiency and service.
  • Be part of the brand Mancom, leading supply chain initiatives.

A Day in the Life

You will report to the Demand Planning Lead, driving sales forecasting accuracy to ensure product availability.

  • Partner with Brand Teams and Mancom to align sales forecasts with business trends.
  • Build robust demand plans using Excel, SAP, and FuturMaster.
  • Continuously optimize planning processes and share best practices.
  • Lead the sales forecast process for your brands, ensuring global sales forecast consistency through building consensus between commercial/customer forecasts, financial trend and sales history
  • Challenge and consolidate the promotional and launch sales forecasts projected by the Sales and Marketing teams, working closely with Business planning to align
  • Present the sales forecast to senior management for monthly sign-off, highlighting risks and opportunities vs financial commitments
  • Manage monthly and weekly communication with both the S&OP and UK based supply planning teams – providing an overview of key forecast changes.
  • Drive the improvement of sales forecast practices and KPI improvement initiatives
  • Be responsible for the catalog management and contribute to its optimization.
  • Support the Supply Planner of your brands with mentoring and advice to help improve efficiencies and service to customer
  • Be part of the Mancom for your brand, leading and driving supply chain initiatives.
We Are Looking For
  • Stakeholder Management Skills
    • Ability to engage and positively influence internal & external stakeholders. Ability to manage upwards.
  • Review and improve processes and share best practice with the wider team
  • Demand Planning Experience
    • 2 years experience in product planning. Experience in demand planning is an advantage
    • Strong understanding of the building blocks and trends that influence the construction of a sales forecast
  • Be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels and simplify complex messages.
  • Be able to co-ordinate planning topics with your Mancom and brand team.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel. FuturMaster and SAP are an advantage
  • Experience in demand or business planning systems an advantage
