We are looking for graduates for our Asset Management and Analysis team within Energy, who have a flexible approach and an appetite to learn in a leading Engineering and Professional Advisory services consultancy. We are recruiting for Graduates in the following services and locations:
  • Power Systems (MEng Electrical Engineering only): Newcastle, Manchester or Glasgow
A little bit more about your role and the team…

Working as a Graduate in Asset Management and Analysis team will mean working on exciting and innovative projects. This service line is composed of the Power Systems Consulting and Energy Strategy Consulting teams delivering services to our national and international clients and is comprised of circa 50 colleagues with a range of engineering and multidisciplinary skills.

Projects

Our teams work on some prestigious assignments in the UK, and you will be helping deliver projects such as:

  • Asset Life extension projects
  • Reliability modelling
  • Audit and site inspections
  • Stability analysis for low carbon technologies connections
  • Harmonic studies for large solar PV and battery energy storage systems
  • Technical support for grid code compliance testing
  • Network innovation projects
Our Asset Management and Analysis team includes:
Power Systems:

Become a member of our Power Systems team and play a hands‑on role in shaping the UK’s energy future. You’ll work on projects that connect renewable energy, battery storage, and cutting‑edge grid technologies to the national network, directly supporting the transition to net zero. As a graduate, you’ll gain exposure to both the technical and consultancy sides of the business, running power system studies, meeting clients, and helping to solve some of the most complex engineering challenges. You’ll be supported by experienced mentors, encouraged to bring your own ideas, and be part of a collaborative team where your contribution will have a real impact.

Day‑to‑day activities could include:
  • Supporting the delivery of power system studies (load flow, fault level, stability, harmonics).
  • Assisting with grid connection support for renewable and storage developers.
  • Contributing to technical reports and client presentations.
  • Helping with project proposals and bid documents.
  • Learning to use specialist power system software (e.g. DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD).
  • Participating in multi‑disciplinary project teams across the UK and internationally.
  • Supporting stakeholder engagement and client meetings.
  • Keeping up to date with emerging energy technologies and regulations.

This isn’t just a graduate role, it’s your chance to help redesign the way we power our world. In our Power Systems team, you’ll be part of the front line of the energy transition, working on projects that connect wind farms miles offshore, unlock the potential of large‑scale battery storage, and enable a smarter, greener, and more resilient grid.

You’ll be trusted with meaningful work, collaborating with engineers, scientists, and innovators across the globe. You’ll meet clients shaping the clean energy future, and see your studies and designs move from concept to reality. We’ll support your growth with mentorship, professional development, and opportunities to carve your own path, whether that’s as a technical specialist, project leader, or strategic advisor.

Here, your work won’t just keep the lights on, it will help light the way to net zero.

You will join an enthusiastic and supportive team, providing you with a challenging and fulfilling career. In this team, you will be dealing with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with colleagues and adapting to dynamic project environments.
