You’ll actively contribute to a variety of projects, gaining invaluable experience every step of the way. We are also committed to enhancing your essential soft skills, ensuring you develop a well‑rounded skill set that complements your technical abilities with effective communication, collaboration, and leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Contributing to the development of civil and structural designs that fulfil project requirements, satisfy client specifications, and address the needs of end users.
  • Working with a team including other disciplines to produce safe, efficient, sustainable and buildable solutions.
  • Provide project delivery by performing calculations manually and with industry‑standard software, collaborating with technicians to develop sketches and CAD drawings, and ensuring all designs comply with our rigorous quality standards.
  • Mentorship and support towards chartership – We offer tailored mentorship and structured support to guide you through becoming professionally chartered, including access to experienced professionals for advice and coaching. You’ll build a strong portfolio, prepare for assessments, and develop key competencies while gaining hands‑on experience across diverse, technically complex projects in multiple sectors.
  • Exposure to high‑profile and technically challenging projects – Immerse yourself in a variety of innovative, technically challenging, and high‑impact projects that will sharpen and advance your skills. Our work spans multiple sectors, providing exposure to landmark designs and pioneering industry approaches.

  • Achieving a degree in civil, structural or architectural engineering or a related field.
Eligibility and Compliance
  • Our commitment is to develop, train, and retain our graduates for the long term. Therefore, BakerHicks are unable to consider applications from candidates who are working under the Graduate visa route or other time‑limited visas, regardless of their duration, due to their temporary status and the future sponsorship requirements under the Skilled Worker route, set out by the UKVI.
