Job summary
A local support organization in Dunfermline is looking for a compassionate individual to provide one-to-one support to boys with learning disabilities and autism. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities and creating a safe environment. A genuine passion for caregiving, excellent communication skills, and a full driving license are essential for this role. Experience in caregiving is preferred but not necessary.
Qualifications
- Genuine passion for working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
- Fit and keen walker and swimmer.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and behaviours.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support and companionship.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care.
- Explore outdoors with boys in various activities.
- Create a safe and structured environment.

- Provision of one-to-one support and companionship to the boys.
- Assisting with daily activities, including all aspects of personal care.
- Exploring outdoors with boys; walks, parks, swimming, trips to the zoo, trampoline centres, Cafes, McDonalds etc.
- Creating a safe and structured environment.
You will have
- A genuine passion for working with individuals with a learning disability and autism.
- Be fit and a keen walker and swimmer.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- The ability to adapt to changing needs and behaviours.
- Excellent observation skills and ability to problem solve and think creatively.
- A full/clean driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for this position.
- Previous experience in caregiving or working with special needs individuals is preferred but not required.
