2 x Area Sales Managers - Midlands & South - Pumps / HVAC / Building Services

We are proud to be partnering with a market‑leading pump business renowned for their outstanding reputation across the building services and industrial sectors. Due to continued growth and success, they are looking to appoint 2 x Area Sales Managers to cover the Midland and South, with a focus on M&E Contractors across HVAC / Building Services.

These positions offer a fantastic opportunity to join an established, respected business known for exceptional product quality, technical capability, and strong customer relationships.

The Role

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and growing relationships with medium to small M&E contractors and engineering clients across your territory. You will promote a full range of pumping solutions while providing both technical and commercial support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a defined regional territory of independent M&E contractors and engineering clients.
  • Promote a comprehensive portfolio of pumps, heating solutions, industrial systems, and associated equipment.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while managing existing accounts.
  • Deliver proactive sales activity including site visits, technical advice, quotes and follow‑up.
  • Work closely with internal technical teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Build strong, long‑term contractor relationships with a consultative, solution‑based approach.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and deliver timely reporting.
  • Meet and exceed agreed sales targets, KPIs and performance expectations.
  • Promote additional in‑house services including commissioning and service support.
  • Develop sales pipelines, manage the full sales cycle, and stay informed on competitor activity.
Who This Role Suits
  • Someone with a solid pump background—ideally within building services, though industrial/process pump experience is also highly valued.
  • Candidates from adjacent technical product sectors such as boilers, valves, HVAC equipment, or mechanical plant will also be considered.
  • A proven sales professional with strong technical understanding and the ability to interpret drawings.
  • Someone who can sell full solutions, not just products—consultative and value‑driven rather than price‑led.
  • A motivated, proactive salesperson who is passionate, ambitious, and hungry for success.
Person Profile
  • External sales experience in this field
  • Industry/product knowledge (pumps, HVAC, Building Services)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations
  • Full UK Driving Licence
