Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker

Job Ref: DP5495

Location: Chichester

Employment Status: Employed

Hours: Two PA roles with possible split hours as follows:

  • PA 1: Wednesday 7:30 – 11:30, Friday 7:30 – 20:30, and one Sunday out of four 7:30 – 20:30.
  • PA 2: Thursday 7:30 – 11:30, Saturday 7:30 – 20:30, and one Sunday out of four 7:30 – 20:30.

Hourly pay rate: £14.20 Monday to Friday, £15.20 Saturday, £16.20 Sunday.

Must hold a current full driving licence and be confident driving an automatic wheelchair‑accessible vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication prompting and administration.
  • Moving and handling, including hoisting from bed to wheelchair and bathroom.
  • Household tasks: housekeeping, shopping, laundry, bed and linen making.
  • Personal care: dressing, undressing, bathroom assistance, wash, shower, and general cleaning of bedroom/bathroom.
  • Assist with nutrition and medication via gastric tube.
  • Support with applying creams and other skin/hair care.
  • Assist with toilet use and toileting emergencies.
  • Provide physiotherapy exercises as required.
  • Drive the automatic wheelchair‑adapted vehicle for shopping, cinema, social activities, and doctor/hospital appointments.
  • Accompany on occasional longer journeys and social meetings.
  • Maintain good communication and be on call when needed.

Additional Requirements
