Work with York Limited is recruiting Young Person's Support Workers to help a non-verbal young person with autism and challenging behaviours.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours, autism and ADHD.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Be driver with right to work in the UK and DBS status.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional support and de-escalate distress using NAPPI techniques.
• Assist with daily activities, personal care, meals and hygiene.
• Administer medication when required.
• Transport the young person to activities and events.
• Follow individual care plans and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate records and confidentiality.
• Contribute to a safe, structured, stimulating environment.
