Overview

1st Line Support Technician – York (YO26) – £26,500 pa

Invigorate Recruitment is working with its client, a leading UK training provider. They are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate person to join their Digital team as a 1st Line Support Technician. As the 1st Line Support Technician, you will work on a variety of projects with a small team, allowing team members to get involved and make a real difference in the company.

Responsibilities
  • Capturing, managing and completing IT support tickets
  • Answering phone and providing support (can be remote desktop support)
  • Research/Quoting/Ordering of IT equipment
  • Updating and maintenance of IT equipment and networks
  • Drop-off/Pick-up of equipment and supplies for multiple-departments
  • Fault finding and diagnostics
  • Hardware maintenance & upgrades
  • Managing user accounts across various systems
  • QA Testing of new systems
Skills & Experience
  • Good communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Extremely organised
  • Experience in Windows & Mac OS
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux is preferable

Role Details

Hours: Mon-Thu 8:45 to 5:30, Fri 8:45 to 5:00 with a 1-hour lunch break. Role based at the York Head Office. Trips to Slough and Livingston branches will also be required to ensure that systems are up-to-date and in good working order.
