Job summary

A technology recruitment agency is looking for a hands-on 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer for a 3-month contract based in Guildford. You will support a 200-user corporate environment and assist in delivering an office tech setup. 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer, 3-Month Contract, Outside IR35, circa £200 / day, Guildford (onsite)

We’re hiring a hands‑on 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer to support a 200‑user corporate environment and help deliver a new office tech setup. You’ll handle day‑to‑day Microsoft support, jump into build / rollout work, and contribute to projects including Cyber Essentials and Intune. This is a fast‑moving, onsite role with some travel between sites (car preferable).

What you’ll do
  • Provide 1st / 2nd line support across a 200-user Microsoft environment (tickets, deskside, remote)
  • Support Windows 10 / 11, M365 / O365, Teams, printers / AV, laptops / desktops, mobile devices
  • User onboarding / offboarding, imaging / builds, hardware swaps, peripheral setup
  • New office setup : networks / patching, end‑user kit, meeting rooms / AV, Wi‑Fi / printing
  • Contribute to projects : Cyber Essentials readiness, Intune / Endpoint management rollout, basic security hardening
  • AD / Azure AD admin, mailboxes / licensing, basic networking (DNS / DHCP / VLANs) and Wi‑Fi support
  • Maintain docs, asset lists, and knowledge base; drive ticket SLAs and great customer service
