Job summary

Booker Group plc is seeking a driver for local deliveries with a CatC licence and a strong focus on customer service. The role involves loading at the branch, delivering to customer sites, and maintaining accurate paperwork.

We require at least two years of driving experience, with delivery experience preferred. You will join a team that values reliability, timeliness, and excellent communication with customers.

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T Licence is required or in scope.
• At least two years of driving experience.
• Delivery driving experience is preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good literacy and numeracy levels are expected.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch.
• Unload at customer premises and ensure deliveries are completed.
• Complete paperwork accurately for each delivery.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an "Any 5 from 7" contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
