Job description

We are urgently seeking an experienced Customer Service Administrator for an upcoming temporary role within a highly professional inbound local government contact centre based in Ipswich.

This role will sit within the Applications Team and will be responsible for processing customer applications, managing enquiries, and ensuring accurate data entry while delivering a high level of customer service.

Duties include:

  • Reviewing and processing customer applications, payments, mail, and correspondence.
  • Providing a high level of customer service and responding to customer enquiries in accordance with guidelines, policies, business rules, service standards, and procedures.
  • Scanning, registering, and inputting mail within the electronic records management system.
  • Completing all necessary follow-up administrative actions.

This casual role will suit applicants seeking 20 hours/week.

To be considered, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Excel and Word
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver quality results
  • Adaptability and strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work 20 hours per week between 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday
  • Availability to commence mid-January

Due to the nature and responsibilities of this position, consent to a national criminal history check will be required prior to any offer of employment being made (and any record of disclosable court outcomes or pending charges will be considered based on relevance to the position being applied for).

Based on current business needs, we anticipate that this temporary assignment will be required for an initial period of 3 months, however, however there is a potential for extension. The casual hourly rate is $38.90 (plus superannuation). This is a great opportunity to work with a local government department in a professional, customer service focussed environment.
