A leading university in the UK is seeking a technician to assist in research focused on developing a yeast-based cell factory for producing valuable biopharmaceuticals. The successful candidate should have a relevant degree and experience in a molecular biology laboratory, along with familiarity in recombinant DNA methodology. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and a fixed term of 36 months.
Grade UE06: £34,610 - £39,906 per annum

We are looking for a technician to participate in research that aims to create a new yeast-based “cell factory” for production of high-value, hard-to-make biopharmaceuticals. The project is funded by the BBSRC and Fulifilm Diosynth Biotech and will be based in the research groups of Professors Giovanni Stracquadanio and Paul Barlow within the Schools of Biological Sciences and Chemistry.
