The Senior Business Analyst will lead the analysis for more complex and critical projects, and support the work of our Business Analysts.

The role has a hybrid working pattern, involving working on campus one to two days a week and, when necessary, for in‑person meetings and activities. Working hours are ideally 35 hours per week, but we will consider flexible working requests. The role reports to one of our Team and Portfolio Managers.

What we can offer you:
  • A competitive salary of £50,253 – £61,759
  • An opportunity to work with an unusually wide range of business areas and types of IT and business change
  • An opportunity to make a difference at one of the world’s top universities
  • Generous annual leave allowance of 40 days per year (inclusive of festive closure days)
  • Highly competitive defined‑benefit pension scheme with a substantial employer contribution
  • A range of flexible working options to help prioritise work/life balance
  • A day of paid leave annually for your chosen volunteering activity
  • Access to excellent online learning, staff development opportunities and a Staff Scholarship fund
  • Varied staff discounts, family‑friendly initiatives, support for staff wellbeing and more
What the job involves:
  • Leading engagement with business stakeholders to understand processes, challenges, and requirements through methods such as interviews, workshops, and surveys.
  • Leading the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business needs.
  • Translating business requirements into clear specifications for both technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Producing high‑quality documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and supporting materials, to inform business cases and solution design.
  • Developing effective, trusted relationships with partners within ISG and across the University.
  • Supporting and coaching business analysts, including assuring outputs and providing constructive feedback to ensure consistent high‑quality results.
  • Defining and exemplifying best practice business analysis approaches, standards, processes and procedures.
