Cohens Chemist is seeking a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant for a zero-hour, permanent role at our Stockport branch. You will gain knowledge leading to NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing and the Counter Course, with training supported by the team.

The role suits candidates with customer service experience who are keen to progress through targeted training, with duties including dispensing guidance and stock management in a busy dispensary and shop environment.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Willing to undertake relevant training courses to progress.
• Gaining NVQ Level 2 and Counter Course in dispensing will be supported.

Job description

We are looking to recruit a zero-hour Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work at our 027-branch located at 256 Stockport Road, Cheadle Heath, Stockport, SK3 0RG.

Whilst working in this branch you will gain excellent knowledge and skills which will contribute to you successfully gaining the recognised Counter Course and NVQ level 2 qualification in Dispensing.

This position is ideally suited to someone with previous customer service experience and who is willing to undertake the relevant training courses in order to progress.

Duties will include the accurate dispensing and labelling of prescription items with guidance and supervision from the Pharmacist. The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting with the ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary and the shop.

The utmost attention to detail is required in this role along with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, you will also have a desire to learn and progress your career in our business.

The successful candidate must have great people skills as this is paramount to your role. You will be required to work as part of a well-established team and ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.
