Job summary

Arcadis is offering an internship and placement programme in the UK, designed to give hands-on exposure to real projects and clients. You will work within the Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (EICA) team on water utility infrastructure projects, developing technical and professional skills.

You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject, with mentorship and opportunities to travel or stay away from home as required.

Role description:

Our paid Intern & Placement programme is designed to give you a hands‑on insight into the work we do as a company and help to develop skills and knowledge within your chosen field. Supported by signposted training, the programme is based on Arcadis’ core values, giving you both technical training and support to help you develop both personally and professionally whilst with us. You will be exposed to real projects and clients and given a range of experiences to immerse yourself into over the course of your 10–12-week internship or 12-month placement.

Our Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (EICA) specialists deliver solutions for some of the most exciting and complex water utility infrastructure projects across the UK and around the world. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of technologies, including electrical power systems, control systems, automation and digital solutions, while working on projects that make a positive difference to communities and the environment. With support from experienced professionals and opportunities to work across a variety of projects and you'll build the skills and experience to accelerate your career and deliver engineering excellence.

• Accepted Degrees: BEng/BSc/MEng/ MSc in - Electrical, Electrical & Electronic, Power Systems, Systems Engineering

Qualifications & Experience:

• You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject
• You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
• You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
