Zusammenfassung

PA Consulting in Cambridge is seeking an Accounting Assistant for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will work with the Accounting Manager to manage a portfolio of entities in the UK, Ireland and Australia, with in-office attendance required every Tuesday and Wednesday.

The role covers month-end close, fixed asset registers, reconciliations, VAT review, and statutory accounts support. Strong Excel skills and at least 2 years in accounting are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years in an accounting environment.
• Experience with multi-currency accounting.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Aufgaben

• Manage month end close – journals for fixed assets, accruals, prepayments and intercompany
• Maintain fixed asset registers including depreciation entries and GL reconciliation
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Review Ireland VAT returns and posting journals
• Assist Accounting Manager with statutory accounts preparation
• Prepare audit information packs and respond to external audits
• Prepare SOX audit schedules and respond to SOX requests
• Ensure SOX controls and internal controls compliance
• Support intercompany recharge processes
• Monthly analysis of key P&L accounts
• Document and monitor internal controls and procedures
• Ad hoc tasks as required
