Job description

We are looking to recruit a 32-hour Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work at our 729-branch located at Walderslade Medical Centre, Hoyland, Barnsley, S74 9AF.

Shift Pattern
  • Monday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Wednesday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Thursday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Friday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Whilst working in this branch you will gain excellent knowledge and skills which will contribute to you successfully gaining the recognised Counter Course and NVQ level 2 qualification in Dispensing.

Duties
  • Accurate dispensing and labelling of prescription items with guidance and supervision from the Pharmacist.
  • Assisting with ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary and the shop.
  • Maintaining utmost attention to detail, working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Providing high standard service and working as part of a well-established team.
Requirements
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training courses for career progression.
  • Great people skills and ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
