Apprentice Trainee Pharmacy Assistant – 30‑hour (15‑month fixed term)

We are looking to recruit a 30‑hour Apprentice Trainee Pharmacy Assistant to work at our 466‑branch located at 314, 6 Tinshill Lane, Leeds, LS16 7AP.

Shift Pattern
  • Monday 09:00‑17:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch)
  • Tuesday 09:00‑13:00
  • Wednesday 09:00‑17:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch)
  • Thursday 09:00‑13:00
  • Friday 09:00‑18:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch)
Pay & Term

Rate of pay: £7.55 an hour. This position is offered on a fixed term basis for 15 months while the successful applicant completes the Pharmacy Apprenticeship. Successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to a permanent position within the business.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service and work to high standards, meeting individual and team objectives.
  • Assist the smooth running of the branch by following company procedures.
  • Dispense and label prescription items under the guidance of colleagues.
  • Complete comprehensive training programme covering all aspects of Pharmacy services to gain the recognised qualification to work as a Qualified Pharmacy Assistant.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • No formal qualifications required; full training will be given.
  • Desire to learn and progress career at Cohens.
  • Hardworking, confident communicator with great attention to detail and excellent time‑keeping.
  • Strong people skills and ability to work as part of a well‑established team.
