Summary

We are looking to recruit a 16-hour Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work at our 560-branch located at 10 Market Street, Hemsworth, Pontefract, WF9 4LA. The proposed shift pattern is as follows:

  • Wednesday 13:30-18:00
  • Thursday 14:00-18:00
  • Saturday 09:00-17:00

The successful candidate will gain excellent knowledge and skills that contribute to successfully gaining the recognised Counter Course and NVQ level 2 qualification in Dispensing. The role is ideally suited to someone with previous customer service experience and who is willing to undertake the relevant training courses to progress.

Duties will include accurate dispensing and labelling of prescription items with guidance and supervision from the Pharmacist. The candidate will also be responsible for assisting with the ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary and the shop.

Great people skills are paramount to this role. The candidate will work as part of a well-established team and ensure customers receive a high standard of service. The role requires attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines, and a desire to learn and progress career in our business.
