Summary

We are looking to recruit a 40-hour Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work at our 478-branch located at Morecambe Health Centre, 1 Hanover Street, Morecambe, LA4 5LY. The proposed shift pattern is as follows:

  • Monday 08:30-17:30 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Tuesday 08:30-17:30 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Wednesday 08:30-17:30 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Thursday 08:30-17:30 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Friday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
Responsibilities

Duties will include the accurate dispensing and labelling of prescription items with guidance and supervision from the Pharmacist, assistance with ordering and managing stock levels within the dispensary and the shop, and maintaining high standards of customer service as part of a well‑established team.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines, and a desire to learn and progress your career.

Qualifications

Previous customer service experience is preferred. Willingness to undertake relevant training courses to progress and obtain the recognised Counter Course and NVQ level 2 qualification in Dispensing.

Great people skills and a team‑player attitude are essential.
