Job description

Role Overview

Your main responsibility will be to promptly and conscientiously deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing and residential homes. While providing a high standard of customer service, you will portray a friendly professional image and act as an ambassador for the Cohens brand.

To fulfill this role, you must be able to work under pressure to deliver prescriptions within the designated period of time. Attention to detail is paramount as you will ensure that prescription items are delivered in line with the company’s regulated procedures. Basic computer skills are required to plan and print your daily routes.

You may also be required to assist with PR exercises to increase business. You must use your own vehicle; therefore, your personal insurance policy must allow for business use. The Company will make a financial contribution to the business aspect of your insurance upon receipt of a document demonstrating any increased premium.

Excellent people skills are essential. You will work as part of a well‑established team and ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.

Location & Contract

• Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract at our 453 branch, 38 Highbury Road East, St Annes‑on‑Sea, Lytham St Annes, FY8 2RW. Potential coverage for 501, 503, and 453 when regular driver is on leave.
• Branch opening hours: Monday to Friday 09:00‑18:00. Flexible within these times required.
• All roles are subject to a DBS being undertaken as part of recruitment.

Benefits

• Reimbursement for mileage undertaken on business journeys at 40p per mile up to 10,000 miles, then 25p per mile thereafter as per HMRC guidelines.
• Fuel receipts must be obtained after each petrol station visit; mileage claim submitted weekly.
