Overview

11028 - We are looking to recruit a Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver to work on a 12-month fixed term contract at our 453 branch at 38 Highbury Road East, St Annes-on-sea, Lytham St Annes, FY8 2RW. The role may cover 501, 503 and 453 when the regular driver is on leave. Branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00. The successful candidate should be flexible to work within these branch opening times, have great people skills, and aim to provide a professional service standard to customers and the Pharmacy Teams.

Employment details: freelance/zero hour role with potential coverage across multiple branches as needed.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and conscientiously deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing and residential homes.
• Provide a high standard of customer service and act as an ambassador for the Cohens brand. Work under pressure to deliver prescriptions within designated timeframes.
• Ensure item delivery complies with the company’s regulated procedures and demonstrate attention to detail.
• Have basic computer skills to plan and print daily routes in branch before starting deliveries.
• May assist with PR activities to increase business.
• Use your own vehicle for the role; ensure your personal insurance policy covers business use. Contact your insurer to obtain relevant information prior to interview. Note: business insurance refers to the vehicle only, not contents. The Company may contribute to the business aspect of your insurance upon receipt of documentation showing any increased premium.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Excellent people skills; able to work as part of a well-established team.
• Ability to deliver high standards of service to customers.
• Own vehicle required with suitable business use insurance.
• Willingness to undertake DBS check as part of recruitment.

Remuneration & Benefits

• Mileage reimbursement at 40p per mile up to 10,000 miles, then 25p per mile per HMRC guidelines. Fuel receipts should be kept for each visit and mileage claims submitted weekly.
