Job description

Are you an experienced educator with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Tutors to work with students across your local area, providing high-quality, personalised support that helps every child thrive.

We work closely with schools and local authorities to provide in-person tutoring for students who require additional learning support. Referrals are made on a per-child basis, with sessions typically ranging from 1 hour per week up to 7+ hours, depending on the needs of the learner. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference‑helping young people re‑engage with education, build confidence, and achieve meaningful progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions aligned with the student's EHCP, learning plan, or reintegration goals.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and learning styles.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with parents, schools, and the Tradewind team.
• Provide a nurturing, structured learning environment that supports emotional as well as academic development.

We're looking for

• Qualified Teachers, Tutors, HLTA's or experienced SEN Support Staff.
• Experience working with learners with a range of needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia).
• A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
