Overview

1:1 Tutor of Maths & English

We're looking for Teachers, HLTAs or experienced Tutors to work on a one-to-one basis with students who are receiving education outside of a traditional school environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tailoring learning to individual needs and making a real difference to young people who need additional support with Maths and English.

The role
  • Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition sessions in Maths and/or English
  • Support students who may be out of school for a range of reasons (for example, SEMH, anxiety, medical needs)
  • Create a safe and encouraging learning environment
  • Plan sessions based on each learner\'s needs and ability
  • Sessions may take place in community settings or in the student\'s home (with safeguarding and safety always prioritised)
What we\'re looking for
  • QTS, HLTA status, or strong tutoring experience
  • Confident teaching Maths and English from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4
  • A calm, flexible and supportive approach
  • Someone who can build positive relationships with learners
  • Reliable, organised, and a strong communicator
