Job description
1:1 Teaching Assistant

St Gregory’s CofE Primary School, Marnhull – part‑time, fixed term teaching assistant role supporting a named pupil on a 1:1 basis.

Contract & Compensation

Fixed term until 22/07/26, Mon‑Fri 08:40–15:00 (29.10 hrs wk). Annual salary £25,583‑£25,989 (FTE) or £16,939‑£17,208 pro rata.

Responsibilities
  • Support the named pupil’s learning, behaviour and well‑being.
  • Work independently and in partnership with the class teacher and wider team.
  • Use appropriate teaching strategies to meet pupil needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and support planning.
Qualifications & Skills

Dedicated, adaptable and motivated. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work independently and support both individual pupils and groups.

Education & Experience

Person specification available in the job specification. Knowledge of safeguarding and pupil welfare is essential.
